Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Global Payroll Manager to lead and scale payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving automation and process improvement. The role emphasizes building scalable systems and partnering with stakeholders across HR, accounting, and external providers.

Based in the EMEA/UK region with home-based arrangement and potential London office, the role reports to Global Financial Controller and focuses on delivering excellent payroll

Qualifications

• Significant multi-country/global payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and internal controls.
• Experience managing payroll audits and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, Accounts Payable and external payroll providers to support payroll operations and compliance.
• Manage end-to-end payroll operations across different countries, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Review, validate, and approve payrolls prior to final processing.
• Establish and maintain strong payroll controls for data accuracy, compliance and efficiency.
• Perform payroll and salary cost analyses, investigate variances.
