Job summary

Arden University in Coventry is seeking a Geospatial Data Engineer to design, develop and deliver high-quality geospatial data pipelines to support evidence-based decision-making across the university.

You will work closely with the Data Product Lead and Lead Engineer to own geospatial data curation, collaborate with data engineers, scientists and business teams, and contribute to broader data engineering priorities including data governance and quality.

Qualifications

• Geospatial data engineering and analysis expertise.
• ArcGIS/QGIS or similar GIS software experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and/or R.
• Git, CI/CD and deployment practices knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver geospatial data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists and analysts.
• Ensure data governance and quality in the data platform.
• Support scalable GIS-based analysis for decision making.
