Scopely is seeking a senior Game Design Director to lead STFC content and systems for millions of players, with remote work options in the UK. You’ll oversee the design owner role for content pipelines, guide creative direction, and mentor teams to deliver high-quality, scalable experiences across monthly updates and beyond.

You will collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Analysts, and Engineers, shaping the future of the game economy and ensuring KPI targets inform design decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of game design leadership experience.
• Proven experience in F2P systems design and progression modelling.
• 8+ years designing systems or economies for live F2P games (MMO/4X/strategy).
• Deep experience with complex game economies in F2P.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor a design team.
• Proven track record delivering clear design direction and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own the standards, direction, and experiences for STFC content releases.
• Lead designers and live ops specialists to craft engaging player experiences.
• Guide creative process to meet game vision and player/product needs.
• Mentor designers in systems and economy design to raise standards.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, analysts, and engineers to implement features.
• Evaluate performance using data and playtests, adjust design accordingly.
• Plan for long-term content extensibility and system health.
