Job summary

Ataxia UK is seeking an experienced Fundraising Events & Community Manager to lead our events and community fundraising programme on a six-month fixed‑term contract. You’ll report to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, delivering engaging supporter experiences and growing income while managing the Events & Community Fundraising Officer.

The role is UK-wide with flexible remote/hybrid working and some travel to Highgate office and events. Salary £40,000 pro rata for 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in community fundraising or events fundraising.
• Strong relationship management and stewardship skills.
• Experience of line management, coaching or mentoring.
• Experience delivering fundraising activity against income targets.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Confidence using fundraising databases and reporting on performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Ataxia UK's community and events fundraising activities.
• Build relationships with supporters, volunteers, community groups and fundraising participants.
• Deliver outstanding supporter stewardship and supporter experience.
• Identify opportunities to grow income and increase engagement.
• Monitor performance against agreed targets and objectives.
• Manage and develop the Events & Community Fundraising Officer through coaching and mentoring.
