Job summary

Sainsbury's Tech – Full Stack Engineer in London is seeking an experienced developer to build UI components in React, write TypeScript across the front-end and back-end, and contribute to large-scale services with Node.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, Postgres and AWS.

In a collaborative, agile environment, you’ll work across Ad-tech initiatives, embrace trunk-based development and CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and mentor peers while exploring new tools and techniques to deliver reliable software at scale.

Qualifications

• Proficient in writing, maintaining and reviewing TypeScript code in production.
• Serverless infrastructure and AWS ecosystem.
• Modern React with hooks; unit tests (Vitest, RTL) for components.
• Tailwind and CSS Modules for styling; design tokens.
• Knowledge of enterprise APIs and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Build UI components and full routes from Figma designs in React.
• Write TypeScript across front-end, back-end and in-between: full stack.
• Implement styling with Tailwind and CSS Modules; use design tokens.
• Develop large-scale services using Node.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, Postgres, SQL, AWS Lambda, Serverless, Terraform.
• Participate in unit testing, E2E tests, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate on design and support of services and internal frameworks.
