Not disclosed satellite manufacturer is seeking a Front-End Application Engineer to develop 2-3 applications for web and desktop, focusing on data visualisation, tooling, and intuitive UIs.

The role requires leading detailed front-end implementation while benefiting from architectural guidance. You will work on data-rich interfaces, integrate with backend services, and contribute to CI/CD in a cloud environment, with remote work and occasional travel to London or Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Must have solid skills in React
• Strong UI/front-end development knowledge.
• Experience building and shipping production applications.
• Experience with data visualisation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Experience building applications in a cloud environment.
• Ability to work with different architectures and provide practical technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve 2-3 front-end applications for web and/or desktop.
• Develop data-rich and visually engaging interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Help shape the front-end architecture, with architectural guidance available while owning the detail and implementation.
• Integrate applications with backend services and APIs.
• Contribute to CI/CD, using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket, and cloud-based application development.
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver high-quality, production-ready applications.
