Job summary

Mercor is seeking an FP&A Expert for a remote, short-term engagement in the United Kingdom. The contract runs 10 August 2026 to 4 September 2026, at a rate of $150/hour, with garden leave and a non-compete.

You will develop high-quality FP&A scenarios, own P&L budgeting processes, and translate financial data into actionable business decisions while collaborating with UK-based teams during local business hours.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or finance business partnering.
• Experience with P&L ownership, annual budgeting, and rolling forecasts.
• Ability to conduct monthly variance analysis and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality financial planning scenarios using FP&A, budgeting, and management reporting.
• Review and evaluate financial data to enhance AI training datasets.
• Translate accounting actuals into operational decisions on spending, headcount, and growth.
• Explain financial tradeoffs to non-finance stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate within a UK business-hours rhythm, participating in live team sessions and occasional evening communications.
