Job summary

TransFICC is hiring a Network Infrastructure Engineer for a remote-first role with a London office. You will design, deploy and support low-latency networks, build Network as Code features, and automate configurations using Ansible and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Strong basic programming ability; not required to be an expert.
• Experience with Ansible and other automation tools.
• Background as a sysadmin or network engineer with cross-discipline knowledge.
• Self-motivated, ambitious and eager to learn.
• Proven experience managing vendors and third parties.
• Familiarity with low-latency networks, BGP/EVPN, and routing.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation.
• Experience with Linux and networking troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support networks including data centres and telco circuits.
• Develop Network as Code features and automate configurations with Ansible/Terraform.
• Collaborate with vendors and handle WAN/L2/L3 connectivity.
• Plan data centre work and support the wider infrastructure.
• Contribute to observability stacks (Grafana, Elastic, InfluxDB).
