Job summary

Urban Connect is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on a long-term water infrastructure programme across the UK. This remote-first role requires travel about once per week and a focus on cost and value management, risk mitigation and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial management of civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to lead a quantity surveying team and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from procurement to final account.
• Train and supervise the quantity surveying team, including recruitment and development.
• Prepare and maintain monthly CVRs, cost plans and commercial action plans.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients and supply chain to maximise cash recovery and improve efficiency.
