Job summary

Feeld is seeking a Financial Controller (Maternity Cover) on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our fully remote team. You will own month-end close, maintain multi-entity ledgers, coordinate audits, and provide insightful financial analysis across the business.

The role requires advanced Google Sheets skills, strong accounting judgment, and the ability to communicate complex numbers clearly in a remote setting. Experience with HRIS payroll systems and regulatory reporting is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Owned complex month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliation with independence.
• Proficient in Google Sheets and able to model large datasets.
• Applied accounting judgement balancing pace with accuracy, control and evidence.
• Able to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues in remote work.
• Experience with statutory accounts, audits or regulatory reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close with support for material balances and timely reporting.
• Maintain a GL and balance sheet across Feeld's UK and US entities.
• Coordinate statutory accounts, audit, tax and regulatory activities.
• Review UK payroll through an HRIS-integrated system.
• Produce management cost reporting and explain financial performance and risks.
• Reconcile large data sets from multiple systems and investigate anomalies.
• Maintain structured Google Sheets workbooks to inform the financial model.
• Oversee core financial controls and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Provide financial guidance across Feeld to support business decisions.
• Document processes and maintain a handover trail for continuity.
