Job summary

MAG (Mines Advisory Group) in Manchester, UK, is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide remote finance and analytical support to the MAG Ukraine Programme from the UK. You will analyse budgets, monitor forecasts, and deliver management reports to support decision-making.

The role focuses on variances, data quality, and timely financial actions, working with the Ukraine Finance team and MAG UK. Fixed-term for 6 months, based in the UK with salary £35,604 per annum.

Qualifications

• Relevant finance, accounting, economics or business qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain budget vs actual analysis for Ukraine projects and cost centres.
• Support budgets for proposals or realignments during project periods.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and internal financial reporting with concise commentary.
• Support donor financial reporting and grant management processes.
