Job summary

Global Schools Forum is seeking a Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee finance, grants, governance and technology for a fully remote, two-year fixed-term role. Reporting to the CEO and working with a small global team, you will drive budgeting, risk management and donor compliance across multiple currencies.

The post requires a recognised financial qualification and senior experience in charity finance, with the ability to lead teams and advise the Board.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in finance and grant management within a charity or nonprofit is essential.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, reserves and reporting.
• Experience managing grants and compliance in multi-funder environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and long-term planning with CEO/Board.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts and multi-year plans.
• Ensure robust financial controls, risk management and statutory reporting.
• Supervise Finance Manager and Grants & Compliance Associate.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Oversee grants management, donor compliance and reporting.
• Oversee IT, data protection and cybersecurity.
• Collaborate with programme teams for effective operations.
• Represent finance in audits and external relations.
