Job Title: Remote Finance Director (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $2,000 - $2,500 USD/month depending on experience paid via Wise

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Eastern time

Job Overview

Our client is a premier fencing company. With a superior commitment to quality and their customers, they have a 42 year history of serving the greater Columbus, Ohio community. They install aluminum, wood, chain link, and vinyl fences. In addition, they custom weld and manufacture gates of all sizes, including cantilever, roll gates, as well as install & maintain automatic gate operators in addition. They are a fast growing company with a lot of opportunities on the horizon, and expect high accountability with their team members.

We are looking for a thoughtful and detail oriented Finance Director to oversee our client’s business finance & accounting intricacies. You will work in tandem with their outsourced bookkeeping team and internal AP team to oversee our financial growth, billing specialist, and produce financial forecasts/trends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounting duties - accounts receivable, payroll reconciliations, and specialized contractor billing.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Create and maintain project-based cost tracking, job cost analysis, and margin reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and advise leadership on capital needs and financial planning.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting; track performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
• Assist management in strategic decision-making by providing financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies

• Progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction, contracting, or related industries.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, and construction billing. AIA billing experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to see the “big picture.”
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present financial data clearly to leadership.
• Technology proficient with software, including QuickBooks Online, Google Suite, Gmail & comfortable with CRM software (JobNimbus).
• Ability to identify key metrics (KPIs) and design financial dashboards.
