Job summary

Spurgeons is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support children, young people and families. The role is home-based with monthly travel to London, 37 hours per week, for a 6-month fixed-term contract starting ASAP.

You will partner with four service areas, deliver monthly forecasts and management accounts, build financial models for bids, and create dashboards, helping frontline teams maximise funding. AAT qualification and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified (part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA is a bonus)
• Experience in financial business partnering, explaining finance to non-finance colleagues
• Strong management accounts, reporting and double-entry bookkeeping
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building, with an organised, accurate approach
• Charity or fundraising finance experience is a plus, not essential

Responsibilities

• Act as the trusted finance partner and strategic adviser for services, offering clear insight and support
• Help budget holders with monthly forecasting, variance analysis and modelling
• Produce monthly management accounts packs and help redesign them
• Support fundraising with financial models for bids, costing, and tracking restricted funding
• Create dashboards and data visualisations to simplify financial information
• Support Head of Finance with budgeting, policies and finance projects
