Job summary

Confidential in Leeds is seeking a Finance Assistant to join a well-established organisation. The role is predominantly remote with one Leeds-based day every two weeks, offering a competitive 18.00–20.00 per hour for the right finance professional.

The role involves supporting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making within a supportive finance function.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a finance analyst or finance assistant role.
• Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to turn financial data into clear insight for non-finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable handling large datasets and reporting requirements.
• Strong communication and attention to detail under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support Finance Business Partners with financial analysis and modelling.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to understand drivers of performance.
• Support cost management, pricing, procurement and investment appraisals.
• Produce monthly finance reporting with variance analysis.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and long-term planning.
• Analyze data and present it clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Support statutory and external reporting and build cross-team relationships.
