Job summary

Gold Group is seeking an Estimator to price water and wastewater capital projects across the South of England. The role is predominantly remote, with limited travel to the office (about 5–6 times per year).

Applicants should have experience in first principles estimating and a strong commercial focus to deliver accurate, competitive tenders. You will work with operational, commercial, and supply chain teams to develop detailed cost build-ups, review drawings and tender documentation, and

Qualifications

• Experience estimating in water and wastewater capital projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Experience measuring quantities and building cost build-ups.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Develop estimates using first principles methodologies.
• Review drawings, specs and tender documentation.
• Measure quantities and price schedules.
• Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Support bid submissions with operational and commercial teams.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and aligned with project needs.
