Job summary

X4 Technology is seeking a Linux Test Development Engineer for an international engineering team working on embedded Linux platforms. The role focuses on validating Linux-based hardware and building automated tests across the Linux kernel, BSP, bootloader, and hardware interfaces.

You will develop robust test solutions, contribute to Yocto-based BSPs, and automate pipelines with GitLab CI while working closely with software and hardware teams on challenging system-level problems.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and Bash scripting experience.
• Solid C programming skills.
• Experience with YAML configurations and test automation.
• Experience with GitLab CI or similar CI/CD.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated Linux test solutions for embedded platforms.
• Write test and automation code using Python, Bash and C.
• Develop test configurations and automation using YAML.
• Create, execute and troubleshoot tests across Embedded Linux platforms.
• Investigate failures at system, kernel, driver and hardware levels.
• Collaborate with an international engineering team.
