Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a Compliance and Quality Assurance professional to audit funding use and monitor government rules across childcare providers. The role emphasises building strong partnerships with providers, families and partners, and requires travel to council offices and providers.

You will analyse complex information, produce clear reports and support service improvement while ensuring inclusive, high-quality funded early years education for families in the area.

Qualifications

• Carrying out audits, monitoring performance and checking compliance, giving support and challenge where improvement is needed
• Quality assurance, service improvement or contract management
• Responding to enquiries and complaints professionally and effectively
• Working in partnership with providers, families and other professionals

Responsibilities

• Carry out checks with childcare providers to confirm funding is used correctly and government rules are followed
• Build positive relationships with childcare providers, parents and other partners
• Gather information to monitor quality and support improvement in childcare provision
• Help ensure enough high-quality, inclusive childcare places for families who need funded early years education
• Travel regularly to childcare providers and council offices across Cheshire West and Chester
• Attend occasional regional and national meetings and networking events
