Job summary

Coventry University is recruiting an EAP Tutor to oversee the Coventry University English Test (CUET) administration across international locations, liaising with CURA and invigilators to ensure security and timely marking.

The role requires leading standardisation of marking, managing test events within a fixed 5 Oct to 18 Dec 2026 contract, and working remotely from within the UK to coordinate with stakeholders and markers.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification and/or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g. TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Language Testing)
• Native or near native English; IELTS 8.0+ written and spoken
• Experience in secure language test delivery, standardisation and moderation of marking, and handling academic misconduct in language testing

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of Coventry University English Test (CUET) for international test events
• Lead a team of markers; standardise marking and moderation; coordinate with CURA to allocate test materials
• Ensure timely return of marking and data reporting; manage breaches or misconduct issues
• Train in-person test invigilators on procedures and security for CUET events
• Liaise with stakeholders across CU to support testing cycles and recruitment strategies
