Job summary

Vita Health Group Limited is recruiting a Duty and Risk Mental Health Practitioner to support our Talking Therapies service in a remote, regional capacity. You will provide expert clinical risk and safeguarding guidance to practitioners, liaise with clients, GPs and external agencies, and help ensure safe, high-quality care across services.

With significant clinical responsibility, you’ll develop expertise in risk assessment, safeguarding, and multidisciplinary mental health care.

Qualifications

• Hold current registration with a recognised healthcare regulatory body.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and safeguarding training (Level 3).
• Demonstrate understanding of risk management and mental health service pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical risk and safeguarding guidance across Talking Therapies services.
• Liaise with GPs, secondary care and external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
• Undertake client contact by telephone, supporting distressed individuals.
• Screen referrals and assess service suitability for timely access to care.
• Facilitate referrals into secondary mental health services when required.
• Support interface discussions between Talking Therapies and secondary care teams.
