Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a DSEAR Consultant to join the Environment & Safety Division on a home-based role covering the South of the UK. You will deliver expert DSEAR assessments, advise on corrective actions and help clients stay compliant under DSEAR Regulations 2002 and ACOP L138.

In this role you’ll perform hazardous area classifications, advise on equipment within ATEX zones, and develop practical engineering solutions while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working and advising in line with DSEAR regulations.
• Preparation of HAC schedules and drawing mark-ups to indicate extent of hazardous zones.
• Experience advising on selection of equipment within ATEX zones, and risk of ignition from mechanical sources.
• High levels of customer service and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver DSEAR assessments and advise on corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Provide end-to-end DSEAR consultancy — from hazardous area classification to engineering solutions.
• Prepare prioritised action plans, HAC schedules, and zone drawings.
• Ensure all work meets SOCOTEC standards, policies, and client requirements.
• Continuously develop your professional skills and support business growth by identifying new opportunities.
