Job summary

V.Group is seeking a skilled Dockings Project Lead to act as the frontline representative during planning, preparation and execution of dry-docking activities for V.Ships and third parties.

The role emphasizes HSSEQ leadership, on-site oversight, daily reporting, incursion management, and continual improvement across docking projects, with international travel and potential remote work for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Promoting a strong, proactive Culture of HSSEQ Excellence, through;
• Continually providing strong, visible, and proactive examples of HSSEQ leadership
• Promotion of a transparent & value-adding HSSEQ Excellence culture across the Group
• Ensuring that docks, suppliers, and stakeholders are working and operating in a safe and environmentally sound manner, in order that the reputations, assets, and operations of V. and our customers are not impacted
• Immediately escalating any concerns about the HSSEQ, operational, legal, or financial compliance of any stakeholder or representative associated with any docking project
• Effective capture and reporting of learning opportunities to continually improve V.Dockings and V.Group processes
• Planning and Preparation: Liaison with Fleet Cells during planning stages up to 18 months in advance; Support and oversight of Fleet Cells in Docking Specs; Participate in Fleet Cell/Customer meetings
• Execution: On-site oversight and execution of dockings with safe, timely delivery; Provide daily reports and forecasts; Issue and oversight of all Variation Orders; Immediate reporting of incidents or non-compliances
• Wash-Up and Continual Improvement: Capture learning opportunities; Post-docking wash-up sessions; Subject matter expertise to improve policies and services; Promote collaboration with crew, yard staff, contractors, and suppliers
• Incident Response and Investigation: Provide incident response and management; Senior on-site representation; Preserve evidence and collect statements; Provide witness input for investigations
• Contribution to V.Group strategy and values: Ensure capabilities, compliance, and service delivery; Drive safe operations in dry-docks; Represent V.Group with customers and stakeholders; Travel and remote work as needed
