Job summary

Corecom Consulting seeks a Director of Platform Operations to own SRE and security strategy across a SaaS product suite. You will lead managers, shape incident responses, and ensure secure, reliable operations while aligning with engineering leaders.

You will drive automation, observability, and developer experience improvements, supporting international growth and complex multi-product environments in a remote director-level role.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a genuine SRE function with SLA accountability in a customer-facing SaaS environment.
• Security experience including vulnerability management at scale and reporting to exec/board level.
• Experience managing managers and operating at scale across multiple teams.
• Deep command of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, observability, and problem management.
• Ownership of an incident management process with evidence of improved MTTR.
• Strong technical credibility across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP/Azure) and IaC (Terraform).
• Excellent executive communication and influencing skills, including during live incidents.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and outcomes for SRE and security across every product line.
• Standardise incident management, problem management and reporting across the product suite.
• Define how SRE partners with development teams for production ownership.
• Embed security into engineering workflows with automated scanning and secure-by-default patterns.
• Lead the move to build it, run it with staged adoption and governance.
• Deliver self-service tooling and CI/CD that simplify correct behavior for engineers.
• Support acquired businesses in adopting security, SRE and developer experience practices.
• Explore AI in operational workflows and identify practical uses.
• Build and coach a leadership layer across the function.
