Job summary

Henderson Scott is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract, remote in the UK. Rate £500-£600/day with SFIA 5 level for the top tier.

You will help secure, scale and operate our AWS/cloud hybrid platform with hands-on design and delivery. Key tasks include AWS controls (VPC, RDS, IAM), IaC with Terraform and Ansible, CI/CD with GitLab, GitOps with ArgoCD, and artifact management with Artifactory/Xray.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevOps/Platform engineer with AWS and cloud security.
• Experience automating and scaling cloud platforms in hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• AWS controls and cloud security best practices.
• Terraform (IaC) and Ansible for automation and config management.
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines and GitLab Runners for deployments.
• Docker-based containers and GitOps with ArgoCD.
• Artifactory/Xray for artifact management and scanning.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment and ops.
• Participate in on-call rota for Priority 1 & 2 incidents.
