Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a skilled Database Developer in the United Kingdom to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database design, data modeling, ETL processes, and working across MS SQL Server, Oracle, and SAP environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to scalable data architectures.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL on MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Strong data modeling and data warehouse design skills.
• ETL development experience with SSIS or similar tools.
• Programming in Java and Python for automation/integration.
• Familiarity with SAP systems and Linux administration.
• PL/SQL scripting expertise.
• Proven ability to work in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize database schemas, tables, and relationships.
• Model data for data warehouses and operational databases.
• Build ETL workflows using SSIS for multi-source data integration.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into specs.
• Maintain security, integrity, and performance across platforms.
• Analyze existing databases to identify improvements.
• Contribute to Agile sprint planning and continuous improvement.
• Support data warehouses and scalable architecture.
