Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Data & Software Engineer on a six-month contract. The role focuses on backend engineering, data processing, and system integrations to support commercial reporting and operational data platforms.

You'll build and maintain data-driven applications, integrate external partners, and collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure accurate, scalable insights used to drive business decisions. This fully remote contract offers potential extension.

Qualifications

• Strong PHP and Python development experience in commercial settings.
• Excellent PostgreSQL skills and backend engineering background.
• Experience building APIs and system integrations in data-intensive environments.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for commercial reporting and data products.
• Process and manage large-scale commercial and revenue datasets.
• Build integrations with external partners and third-party platforms.
• Develop integrations between internal systems to improve data access and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analytics teams on reporting and insight generation.
• Support initiatives focused on user and performance data.
• Improve data quality, reliability, and scalability across critical business systems.
• Deliver enhancements to existing data and reporting platforms.
