Job summary

Harnham is seeking a senior leader to run the Data & Engineering function, accountable for platform strategy, data architecture, and engineering standards. You will drive delivery excellence, governance, and AI-enabled capabilities across data products and SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

Leadership experience heading multidisciplinary tech teams.
Commercial experience guiding data/engineering groups.
Expertise in modern cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric, SQL).
Strong data architecture, governance, modelling and integration design.
Experience owning data products or SaaS platforms.
Ability to align technology strategy with business goals and priorities.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly.
Knowledge of AI, ML, or applied AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the data and engineering strategy aligned to business objectives.
Lead Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and Client Data Solutions teams.
Own platform architecture, scalability, reliability, and governance.
Champion best practices across cloud infra, data engineering and deployment.
Establish engineering standards, release processes and docs frameworks.
Translate business priorities into technical delivery with product/stakeholders.
Oversee data platform performance, quality, and integration architecture.
Embed AI capabilities across products and services.
Foster continuous improvement, collaboration and technical excellence.
Support resource planning, project delivery and team capability growth.
