Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Human Data Platforms team. You will build features across backend and frontend using Python/FastAPI and React, delivering robust, scalable applications.

You will develop data pipelines for evaluation and model control, create OCR and search systems for PDFs and images, and ensure data integrity by enforcing complex JSON structures. This remote role offers strong collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building applications with Python (FastAPI) and React.
• Experience across the full technology stack.
• Solid fundamentals in APIs, SQL, async systems, and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to work with complex data systems or pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across backend and frontend using Python/FastAPI and React/TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for evaluation and model control layers.
• Own and manage secure document pipelines to prevent data leakage.
• Create OCR and search systems for PDFs, images, and scanned docs.
• Parse and enforce complex nested JSON structures for data integrity.
• Debug and scale pipelines and storage, improving performance and reliability.
