Job summary

Canal & River Trust is seeking a Data Migration Lead to plan, coordinate and execute the migration of data from legacy systems to a new ERP platform. You will guide discovery, mapping, transformation, cleansing and validation using Azure tools to ensure data integrity throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data migration, ETL development or data engineering in large-scale transformations.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, databases, mapping, transformation and cleansing.
• Experience designing ETL processes with Databricks, ADF, Talend, Informatica, SSIS or equivalents.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills for extraction, validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with ERP/CRM migrations and data governance and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver end-to-end data migration strategies and schedules for ERP transformations.
• Assess legacy data structures, volumes and dependencies with stakeholders to define migration requirements.
• Lead data mapping and transformation to align source and target systems.
• Design and execute ETL using Azure tools (Databricks, ADF, SQL).
• Drive data profiling, cleansing, standardisation and validation to improve quality.
• Coordinate testing and validation with business users and QA teams.
• Monitor risks and resolve migration issues to meet timelines and quality.
• Maintain migration documentation and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
