Job summary

TXP is seeking an ETL specialist to design, develop and maintain Talend pipelines for a UK Government programme. The role is predominantly remote, with two days per month in Telford and potential base in Worthing. It is a 6-month contract inside IR35 at £540 per day, requiring SC eligibility and BPSS start.

You will work in an established data platform and collaborate across teams. Responsibilities include building Oracle SQL artefacts, maintaining CI/CD in GitLab, and mentoring junior

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Talend.
• Solid experience with Oracle databases, with Oracle RDS preferred.
• Strong SQL and data modelling capability.
• Experience working within structured SDLC and testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, ideally GitLab.
• Experience in enterprise or public sector environments is desirable.
• Must be SC eligible.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Talend.
• Build and manage Oracle SQL and DDL artefacts.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Investigate and resolve defects across development and test phases.
• Conduct component testing, including test data creation.
• Support QA, performance testing, and production releases.
• Perform peer reviews of development and testing artefacts.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-team collaboration.
