Job summary

Livestock Information Ltd is hiring a Data Business Analyst to gather and translate business requirements into effective data and reporting solutions. You will analyse data, support Data Engineers and Modellers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver Azure-based data solutions.

You will help maintain data quality, perform testing, and support Power BI reporting and dashboards to enable informed decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation and troubleshooting.
• Power BI development, requirements gathering, validation and testing.
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with ER diagrams and data modelling principles.
• Ability to define and execute test scenarios in Agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and manage functional and non-functional requirements for data solutions.
• Conduct data profiling and analysis to support data validation and quality across Data Engineering and Modelling activities.
• Support ETL processes by validating data against ER diagrams and data models.
• Create and maintain clear documentation to support data knowledge and solution understanding.
• Collaborate with Data Modelling and Data Engineering teams to design and implement data solutions using Azure tech.
• Support Power BI development with requirements gathering, report validation and testing.
• Provide effort estimates, track progress, log defects, and escalate data quality risks.
