Job summary

Leidos is recruiting a Cyber Security Engineer to support UK government delivery from Farnborough and remote sites. The role focuses on protecting IT infrastructure, implementing security controls, and guiding security outcomes across projects.

You will work on vulnerability management, endpoint protection, incident response, system hardening, and documentation while collaborating with security leaders. A clearance and UK presence are assumed.

Qualifications

• Specialist skills in protective and information security.
• Experience applying security frameworks such as Government Functional Standard 007.
• Ability to plan and implement security controls across IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular vulnerability scans and generate reports.
• Maintain endpoint protection and update security policies.
• Manage incidents and resolve tickets for the security group.
• Harden systems and ensure compliance with CIS, STIG, and NIST.
• Assess changes to security posture and support PI Planning activities.
• Document high- and low-level designs and security SOPs.
