Job summary

Rhymetec is hiring a Cyber Security Analyst to join our UK team. This role supports the development and implementation of security metrics and compliance initiatives for clients, collaborating with the Security Program Manager to strengthen cloud security posture.

The ideal candidate will contribute to security and compliance objectives, drive foundational changes in internal cloud platforms, and deliver quality work with a high degree of autonomy and customer responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technology or cyber security.
• 2+ years of work experience in technology or cybersecurity.
• Willing to travel up to 2 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare agendas and supporting materials for client meetings.
• Conduct meetings with clients regularly.
• Configure performance monitoring alarms in AWS, Azure, GCP, Datadog and other cloud infrastructures.
• Configure security alarms and intrusion detection systems in AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Set up supporting security applications.
• Set up mobile device management applications (e.g., Jamf, Jumpcloud, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Hexnode).
• Configure and maintain compliance monitoring platforms.
• Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and generate reports.
• Conduct Incident Response Tabletop exercises with clients.
• Conduct Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery tabletop exercises with clients.
• Support clients in mapping frameworks/controls (SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, DORA) into actionable items.
• Conduct employee access reviews and vendor security assessments.
• Triage bug/vulnerability reports from security researchers.
• Complete security questionnaires for clients.
• Draft supporting documents for clients’ information security management systems and policies.
• Gather and maintain evidence of compliance for various frameworks.
• Lead engagements with auditors on behalf of clients.
• Educate clients on security best practices.
