Job summary

Greys Specialist Recruitment supports a multidisciplinary construction consultancy appointing a Construction Health & Safety Advisor. The role is home-based with regular site travel across Greater Manchester and the Midlands, reporting from home with occasional overnight stays.

Essential experience includes practical construction H&S and CDM 2015 knowledge, NEBOSH Construction or General qualifications, and IOSH membership.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as Construction H&S Advisor or similar with site inspections.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, regs and CDM 2015.
• NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH General with construction focus; IOSH member.
• Ability to assess Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and contractor documentation.
• Strong client communication and report-writing skills with tight deadlines.
• Organised and commercially aware; proficient with MS Office and mobile tech.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal H&S contact for assigned clients across projects.
• Conduct site inspections and provide practical safety recommendations.
• Advise clients on CDM duties and H&S legislation.
• Review Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and contractor docs.
• Support ISO 45001-aligned systems with policies and audits.
• Attend/ chair meetings and deliver H&S/CDM training.
• Manage monthly delivery targets and assist with fee proposals and invoicing.
• Contribute to regional growth and continuous improvement.
