Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Remote Consignment Sales Consultant to join our marine dealership team. This role involves managing the consignment sales process remotely—from intake to final sale—ensuring a seamless experience for both sellers and buyers of consignment boats, trailers, and related marine equipment. The position requires promoting and selling inventory through virtual communication, digital platforms, and coordination with our in-store team.

Additional opportunities may be available for candidates with wholesale buying experience in auto, RV, or marine industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction (Remote):

  • Serve as the primary remote contact for clients interested in consigning boats, trailers, and marine equipment.
  • Explain the consignment process—including pricing, terms, and expectations—via phone, video calls, and email.
  • Manage online listings, handle inquiries, and work with marketing to generate leads.
  • Support the in-store team by driving traffic and interest through digital channels and virtual consultations.

Inventory Coordination:

  • Assist in evaluating and documenting consignment units, maintaining accurate records, condition descriptions, and pricing.
  • Coordinate with on-site staff to update inventory databases.
  • Facilitate and negotiate sales remotely, working with buyers and sellers to finalize deals.
  • Ensure all remote transactions comply with dealership policies and industry regulations.

Customer Service:

  • Provide outstanding remote support throughout the consignment process.
  • Address inquiries promptly, resolve concerns, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain organized records of all remote sales activities, including contracts and communications.
  • Ensure digital documentation meets dealership standards.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure an effective approach.
  • Contribute to sales goals through open communication and teamwork, even remotely.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Prior retail or consignment sales experience, especially in marine industry, is desirable.
  • Experience with inventory management and online sales platforms is a plus.
  • Wholesale buying experience in boats, RVs, or automotive markets is preferred.
