Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Community Sports Development Officer to join our client’s vibrant team. The role focuses on promoting sports participation and healthy lifestyles within the Randburg community, with remote working arrangements and local travel as needed.

You will design and implement programs, build partnerships with schools and clubs, manage volunteers, and monitor outcomes to broaden access to sport for underserved groups across Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sports development, community engagement, or program management.
• Strong understanding of sports and their community benefits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, execute, and evaluate projects.
• Budget management and resource allocation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement community-based sports programs and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to increase sports participation across age groups and demographics.
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community centres, clubs, and government bodies.
• Organize and oversee sports events, workshops, and clinics for the community.
• Promote programs through social media and local outreach.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact.
