Job summary

DFP Services Ltd in Durham is seeking a Gas, Plumbing and Heating Engineer to perform planned and reactive maintenance across care homes, NHS buildings and other sites in the North East. You will join a 1 in 4 call-out rota with standby pay and enhanced overtime rates.

The role requires commercial gas qualifications, Gas Safe registration and a full UK driving licence. A strong customer focus and IT literacy are essential, with training and progression provided within the Vadella Group.

Qualifications

• Commercial gas qualifications and experience.
• Gas Safe registration.
• CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1 qualifications.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and in writing.
• Generally IT literate. A customer focused approach.
• At least 1 year's commercial gas experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out diagnostic fault finding on boilers, water heaters, warm air systems and other equipment.
• Completing maintenance and PPM certification paperwork on the PDA system.
• Efficiently maintaining and repairing gas plant equipment, plumbing, heating systems and components.
• Identifying areas for additional works within and out of the specified contractual requirements, supplying accurate quotations where required.
• Understanding and completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time, exceeding the customer's expectations.
• Complying with company policies and procedures.
• Carrying out work in a safe and diligent manner.
• Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Attending and fully participating in training and appraisal activities as required.
