Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to drive strategic technology designs for our public sector and utilities initiatives. You will collaborate with analysts and delivery teams to define requirements, develop cloud-first solutions on Azure, and guide architecture governance across domains.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, solution roadmaps, and ongoing modernization in a regulated environment. Flexible/remote working is available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solution design and architecture across database, backend, integration and user experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure platform services, including cloud-native solutions and migration from on-premise.
• Ability to influence senior business and technology stakeholders and produce concise solution designs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead architect on strategic projects, including procurement and software development initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define non-functional requirements.
• Design technology solutions that align with standards and strategy across architecture domains.
• Present designs to governance forums for review and approval; develop architecture roadmaps with enterprise architects.
• Coordinate implementation with delivery teams and ensure alignment with high-level designs.
• Provide guidance and share knowledge to colleagues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and reusable patterns in architecture.
• Manage relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
