Job summary

LA International seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Architect with SC/NPPV3 clearance to design scalable, secure AWS solutions. This fully remote, 12-month contract role requires governance, leadership of DevOps and data teams, and strong security/compliance practices.

The ideal candidate will guide migrations, implement IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK), optimise performance, and ensure regulatory alignment (GDPR/ISO27001/PCI DSS) while delivering cost-efficient architectures.

Qualifications

Experience designing scalable, secure cloud architectures on AWS.
Knowledge of GDPR, ISO27001, PCI DSS compliance.
Proficient with IaC tooling (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK).
Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

Design scalable, secure AWS architectures and select services to meet requirements.
Define and enforce cloud architecture standards and best practices.
Provide technical direction to engineering, DevOps and data teams.
Implement security controls and regulatory compliance using AWS native tools.
Lead IaC adoption and create reusable templates for deployments.
Monitor performance and cost, optimise for reliability and efficiency.
Define migration and modernisation strategies including microservices and serverless.
