Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or FCILEx to join its claimant Clinical Negligence team in Cardiff. You will manage a litigated claimant caseload within a supportive group structure.

Flexible working from home 3–4 days per week is available, with a competitive salary of £40,000–£50,000 and clear development pathways.

Candidates should have experience in clinical negligence or serious PI, strong CPR knowledge, and excellent client and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a litigated claimant clinical negligence or serious PI caseload.
• Strong knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence law.
• Ability to deal sensitively with clients and work professionally with colleagues, experts, counsel, insurers and defendant representatives.
• Experience with Legal Expense Insurance, publicly funded matters or CFAs (advantageous).
• Proactive case progression skills and the ability to drive matters to successful resolution.
• Excellent organisational skills and a pragmatic approach to managing claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of IT systems and case management software.
• Enthusiasm, motivation and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigated claimant clinical negligence caseload.
• Supervise junior colleagues under direction of Group Leader.
• Utilise the firm’s case management systems and meet SLAs.
• Achieve billing, time utilisation and telephony KPIs.
• Participate in team training, marketing and departmental activities.
• Work collaboratively in a supportive, professional group.
