Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Coding Trainer to develop and deliver training for trainees and coders across multiple specialties. You will collaborate with regional trainers and help implement new coding standards within a high‑volume department.

The role involves guiding day‑to‑day coding work, managing training needs, and supporting junior staff toward ACC status, while maintaining high quality data and meeting deadlines.

Qualificações

• ACC qualified and able to supervise coding staff.
• Experience in guiding trainees and coders in a Trust setting.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and OPCS classifications.
• Able to organise and deliver training programmes.

Responsabilidades

• Provide in-house and external training for coding staff at all levels.
• Develop, implement and maintain a regional training programme.
• Advise on complex coding queries and updates to standards.
• Support the Coding Manager in department oversight.
• Cover for Auditors and Assistant Coding Manager when required.
