Job summary

Safer Sphere is seeking an experienced Building Safety professional to help deliver safer buildings across the UK. This remote role offers involvement in Higher-Risk Buildings and complex developments, with ownership of a varied portfolio and opportunities to mentor colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Building Safety Act, Building Regulations and related legislation.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent report writing and technical communication skills.
• Experience leading client meetings and presenting technical information confidently.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high standards.
• Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Fire Engineering or related discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution (CABE, CIOB, RICS, IFE or ICE).

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of Building Safety services across a range of projects.
• Undertake the BRPD role on behalf of clients.
• Advise clients on duties under Building Safety Act and related legislation.
• Review designs to identify safety risks and compliance issues.
• Produce high-quality technical reports, risk reviews and client advice.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, designers, contractors and regulators.
• Chair and facilitate client meetings, design team meetings and workshops.
• Develop Safer Sphere's Building Safety service, processes and standards.
• Support business development including fee proposals and client relationships.
• Promote a positive building safety culture across projects.
