Job summary

Pearson is seeking a BTEC Trainer to deliver online and face-to-face courses across the UK. This freelance/contractual role supports the BTEC International specification and requires staying up-to-date with changes in the education sector and recent developments in the subject area.

You will travel internationally as needed and collaborate with internal teams to improve professional development courses. Training will be conducted in English, with potential for additional languages.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Pearson BTEC International Specification.
• Experience delivering training to adult delegates.
• Good understanding of qualification and assessment principles.
• High level of subject knowledge to deliver training.
• Teaching, administration, assessment or management experience in the relevant subject and level.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with a laptop, internet and Microsoft PowerPoint; able to use technology to support training delivery.
• Ability to manage learning and development of teaching professionals with differing viewpoints.
• Positive attitude towards feedback.
• Committed to professional development.
• Represent Pearson appropriately and deliver per contractual terms.
• Deliver training using Pearson-provided materials; ensure quality and standards.
• Deliver training sessions in English; ability to deliver in other languages may be beneficial (Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic).

Responsibilities

• Deliver online and face-to-face training across the UK.
• Attend in-house briefings and client meetings to understand needs.
• Prepare and deliver training sessions using Pearson materials and Ed Tech.
• Collaborate with internal support teams for course development and improvements.
• Complete post-session feedback forms and monitor delegate feedback.
• Travel internationally as required and manage travel arrangements with Pearson.
• Ensure training objectives are met and adapt delivery to customer environment.
