Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Biology Subject Matter Expert to help train and evaluate AI systems tackling advanced biology topics, from cellular mechanisms to cutting-edge biotech concepts.

This is a fully remote hourly contract. You will design challenging biology questions, develop clear, step-by-step solutions, and assess AI outputs for factual accuracy and quality of reasoning. No prior AI experience required—just strong biology knowledge and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology or closely related field is required or in progress.
• Strong scientific reasoning and problem-solving across advanced biology topics.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging biology questions to test AI performance across undergraduate to Masters-level topics.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with well-reasoned scientific logic.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for factual accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning.
• Identify weaknesses in AI responses and provide structured feedback; collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
