Job summary

Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading organisation in the renewable energy and battery energy storage sector in the search for an experienced SCADA & Controls Engineer to join their EMEA Delivery team. This remote role spans across EMEA on utility-scale BESS projects, covering SCADA, controls engineering, grid integration, communications and testing.

You will lead design to commissioning for SCADA/controls, integrate BESS with EMS/TSO systems, and ensure grid compliance across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' hands-on SCADA and controls experience.
• Experience delivering SCADA/EMS for utility-scale energy projects.
• Strong grid-code and TSO requirements knowledge.
• Fluent English required; other European languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of project-specific SCADA and controls from design through commissioning.
• Develop controls architectures and grid integration concepts.
• Integrate BESS SCADA with TSO EMS systems.
• Develop and test SCADA/EMS applications and interfaces.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and site testing activities.
