Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend/Full-Stack) to design, develop and extend secure, scalable applications. The role spans Go backend services and React-based frontends, with a focus on REST APIs, data models and CI/CD integration in a fully remote UK setting.

Candidates should have strong Go and React experience, plus PostgreSQL, Docker and modern JavaScript. The position offers £40,000-£70,000 DOE plus benefits and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with Go (Golang) and REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM (GORM).
• Familiarity with React, hooks, ES6 and API integration.
• Containerised deployments with Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design backend services using Go and build RESTful APIs.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL data models and access patterns.
• Create React-based interfaces and dashboards; integrate APIs.
• Support CI/CD processes and automated testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across software, networking and infrastructure.
