Swift Analytics is seeking an Azure SQL Data Engineer to join a remote-first project delivering a greenfield Azure SQL Data Warehouse for a public sector client. You will design, develop and deploy robust data pipelines and warehouse structures using Microsoft Azure technologies alongside the Lead Data Architect.

This mid-level role suits an independent engineer who can take direction from senior architects and project leads, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver clean, scalable data

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure DevOps experience.
• Experience delivering data warehouse environments in Azure.
• Experience with meta-driven data pipelines.
• Consultancy or client-facing delivery experience.
• Public sector or regulated environment experience.
• UK Security Clearance (SC) or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Azure-based data integration pipelines.
• Build and support data warehouse solutions using Azure SQL.
• Assist with data modelling and warehouse implementation.
• Collaborate with architects and consultants on best practices.
• Participate in peer reviews, testing, and QA activities.
• Support CI/CD through Azure DevOps.
• Troubleshoot data platform issues.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Produce technical docs and implementation notes.
