Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a DevOps Azure Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom in a remote working mode. You will design, build, and automate an Azure-based platform using IaC and CI/CD best practices, collaborating with a distributed DevOps team including a US-based group.

You will implement Azure infrastructure, develop reusable IaC modules, and automate end-to-end provisioning, scaling, and upgrades while ensuring security-by-design and high availability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking fundamentals: CIDR, subnets, routing, NSGs, VPNs.
• Proficiency with Terraform for Azure infrastructure and with Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with containerized solutions and AKS, plus CI/CD tooling and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure-native infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Develop reusable IaC modules for compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring components.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Script and automate infrastructure operations using Bash and PowerShell.
• Enable end-to-end lifecycle automation, including provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and teardown.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to enforce cloud standards and compliance.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, and security-by-design through continuous automation.
• Support operational stability and troubleshoot issues across environments.
