ISR Recruitment is seeking an experienced AWS/Data Platform/Cloud/Security Architect for a 3-month initial contract with remote working arrangements. The role focuses on designing a strategic Unified Data Platform for a major UK public sector programme, working with senior architects and client stakeholders to align with governance, security and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Proven AWS-focused Data Platform/Cloud/Security architect experience in large-scale environments.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale Data Lake/Data Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Amazon S3 storage strategies and data layer architectures.

Responsibilities

• Refine and develop the target architecture for a Unified Data Platform.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security and governance frameworks.
• Produce architecture documentation, designs and artefacts of high quality.
• Design scalable ingestion patterns for databases, APIs and file-based integrations.
• Define Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures using Amazon S3 with Bronze/Silver/Gold layers.
• Design transformation and orchestration patterns using Databricks and AWS services.
• Develop secure, scalable data consumption patterns for reporting and analytics.
• Support governance, security, observability and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, security specialists and stakeholders.
