Themis Recruit is pleased to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced costs lawyer to join a leading law firm as an Associate Costs Draftsperson. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating costs, with strong Excel skills and a commitment to cost dispute resolution.

The successful candidate will manage bills of costs, interpret fee structures, and provide research and client support. Remote working is available, with monthly travel to London for team meetings.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Costs lawyer in an independent costs practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bills of costs and schedules of costs in a precise and efficient manner.
• Analyse and interpret fee structures and agreements to reflect costs accurately.
• Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to settle costs disputes.
• Provide support to senior team members during negotiations and ADR processes.
• Stay informed about changes in costs regulations and legal precedents.
